Our Home Build Process

On our first phone call, we will ask a series of questions to glean your goals for your home build, evaluate where you are in preparation for a new build, listen to and manage expectations, and pre-qualify you for a new home build. We will offer resources for preparing for a new build if you have not met the qualifications.

If all pre-qualifications are met and are ready to build, we will schedule an in-person meeting. At this meeting, we will go over your design and floor plan, discuss budget goals, and answer any questions you have for us. 

After the first in-person meeting, you will reach the design stage. This is where we will walk you through picking all of the finishes for your new home, if you have not already. We will also address any other customizations you request to make to your building plans. There will be a small design fee for this stage, as it can be a lengthy but worthwhile process. Expect back and forth communication via text, phone call, and more in-person meetings throughout this stage, as we pinpoint and perfect your design goals. 

Once all of your finishes and customizations are finalized, we will sign a pre-construction agreement and begin estimating project costs and building a formal proposal. This can be a time-consuming process, as we work with our specialty trades and material suppliers to get detailed estimates for your home build. After this stage is completed, we will contact you to schedule another in-person meeting to present the formal proposal.

At our next in-person meeting, you will be presented with the formal proposal and final and complete pricing for your home build. At this point, we will sign the construction agreement and will be ready to break ground on your new home! 

At Privette Construction, our top priority is your satisfaction. We strive to exceed your expectations in every aspect of the building process. We will communicate with you and update you on the progress of your build. You will be invited to our online customer portal, where you can view progress reports and photos at your convenience. We value open and honest communication and will be readily available to answer questions and address concerns throughout the duration of the building process. We will schedule multiple owner walk-throughs where you can see the progress of your build and ask questions of your builder on site. 

We specialize in creating luxurious, custom-built homes that are tailored to your unique lifestyle. Once the building process is complete, we will schedule a final walkthrough of the home with you. Upon assurance that the home is completed to your satisfaction, we will issue the final invoice, hand over the keys  to the home, and sign all necessary documents for the mortgage company. 

Congratulations! You are now moving into your new home! A representative of our company will contact you to schedule a professional photographer to come out and take photos once you have gotten settled in.
